"Philip Shaver was 11 when his father died, and 33 years old when Oliver Tiffany bought lot 50/2, providing him with whatever legacy his father had willed. He, alone of all the children moved back to the United States. He located in Cambria, N.Y. a little village about 11 miles east of Lewiston. There in 1822 he married 22 year old Delia Helen M.
They had 3 boys in the next 6 years. Philip died on July 2, 1828, at the age of 42.
He was buried in Cambria, N.Y.
Sometime later Delia moved her young family into Canada.
In the 1851 census we find Philip's son William M. living in Burford Twp. with his cousin Hamilton Shaver, son of his uncle Henry. By the 1861 census William had a farm of his own in Burford Twp. and Delia was living there with his family. Delia died in 1878 at the age of 78 years. She is buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Burford."
