Shavers of Ancaster

Thanks to the awesome work of Rock Solid Natural Stone Masons of Ancaster, the south wall has now been completely restored. Work was completed October 13, 2017. We will honour the memory of our forebears interred within, recognize the importance of the work to be completed and, bless the skills of those who will be labouring here this fall.

Please bring lawn chairs.

2017 Shaver Reunion: To the descendants of John Shaver of Ancaster, Upper Canada:
You are cordially invited to the 2017 Shaver Reunion and Potluck Lunch! Registration will start at 1:00 pm
Please bring sandwiches, salads, desserts etc. to share, as well as your picnic basket (plates, cups, cutlery etc.). We’ll have coffee and tea available. Please bring $5 per person, $10 per family to help with the rental cost.
Note: The Bowman United Church is not wheelchair accessible, there are a few steps.

The 75th annual Shaver Family Reunion was held June 12, 2011 at the Bowman United Church in Ancaster. This was the first year in some time that the reunion was held there, but we understand it may have been at Bowman some time in the past. Certainly the church is a long-standing Ancaster fixture.
