Shavers of Ancaster

We are excited and honoured that family member Brock Shaver has accepted our invitation to speak at the reunion this year (2011). He has some fantastic information to share on our early family history in his presentation titled ‘Connections with our Beginnings’. Young and old, we are certain everybody will enjoy hearing him speak.

Brock Shaver spent a career in corporate management, that included Walmart, The Bay and Leons. While finishing his first degree in history at the University of Western Ontario, Brock wrote a major paper on the Shaver family from its origins in New Jersey that he has graciously given us permission to post here. Currently, he is a master of divinity student at the University of Toronto. Brock is the son of a United Church minister, and is working toward ordination himself. Descending from the William line of the Shaver family, he has two daughters, Kelly, 23, and Katie, 21. Brock has also published one book, The Creation in Time, (found on Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble, and Lulul.com) documenting his faith journey, as well as writing extensively on contemporary issues as well as public speaking engagements.
